Dr. Pankaj Abrol

Dr Pankaj Abrol has more than 43 years’ experience in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology, and more than 18 years’ experience in Pediatric Oncology. Dr Pankaj Abrol is presently working as a Senior Consultant in Pediatric Medicine, and Pediatric Hematology Oncology & BMT in the state of art Narayana Health Super Speciality Hospital, DLF Phase 3, Gurugram

Dr Pankaj Abrol is practicing Pediatrics since he completed his MBBS and MD (Pediatrics) from prestigious Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU in 1982. Dr Pankaj Abrol has been awarded fellowship, FIAP by Indian Academy of Pediatrics for extraordinary work in pediatrics. He also received Life Time Achievement Award from Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Haryana. He has worked efficiently in almost all areas of Pediatrics. He is a qualified trainer in neonatology (NALS), worked in immunization, nutrition, growth and development, pediatric intensive care, and had been a trainer in various national training programs like IMNCI, FIMNCI etc. He is trained in Pediatric Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, an institute par excellence. He served in PGIMS Rohtak as Senior Professor & Head, Department of Pediatrics- II. He established Pediatric Cancer Unit (PCU), Thalassemia Day Care and Hemophilia Day Care Centers in PGIMS Rohtak. He was also incharge of Pediatric Hematology Oncology in PGIMS Rohtak. He worked in collaboration with Delhi based NGO, Cankids Kidscan and a USA based NGO Jiv daya for the patient care in PGIMS Rohtak. During Covid epidemic Dr Abrol worked for upgradation of Covid Intensive care facilities with the help of an NGO YouWeCan at PGIMS Rohtak. He has authored 3 books and published many chapters in various textbooks of Pediatrics, apart from presenting and publishing various research publications in national and international journals of repute.  

Dr Pankaj Abrol is a National Board (NBEMS) expert in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology Oncology, conducting DNB Pediatrics and National Board Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
